LAND OF GOOD
CONSIDERING
THAT WE ARE DUAL CREATURES, THE BALANCE WOULD MEAN THE HARMONY
BETWEEN THE
MASCULINE AND
THE FEMININE.
GODDESS RETURNS!
Dazed by the forest fires and water pollution around the planet
video-artist Viktoria Kova creates a new series of works, called
GODDESS RETURNs!

7 videos are dedicated to the current situation emerged between people and nature. Inspired by ancient mythology, Kova ‘resurrects’ some of the Goddesses with the plea to help the planet and all life on it.

ARTIST STATEMENT
“LAND of GOOD project is fully dedicated to the quest for the right balance - the harmony that used to be natural for the people in the prehistoric times. I explore that period of time in the hope to find their secret of harmony and superchargedsustainability.

Many of you predicted 2020 to be the year of balance.
But what is the balance? Considering that we are dual creatures, the balance would mean the harmony between the masculine and the feminine. We know what masculine powers are, but what are the feminine powers?

The ability to give birth to a baby, cook dinner and tidy up is surely not the full potential that comes with the feminine.
After an extended research, I learned that female powers are the soft forces that bring you in-ward. Bringing the attention inward deepens the experience of the inner-body, switches off the mind, and allows us to explore the unknown by ‘plugging in’ to a universal information field.
This is very different from what we all are used to in our male-driven world. So, for me, 2020 is about rediscovering the feminine - the return of the Goddess.

I believe the Goddesses are the personification of the Mother-Nature and the ultimate manifestation of the feminine - the powers of deep emotion, care, moderation, beauty, kindness, patience, and oneness with nature. With her return, Goddess would bring-in the ‘quiet, less and better’ Instead of ‘bigger, faster and more’.

In practical terms, for the industry, it would mean less production but better quality, not growing bigger but more efficient, full recycle of waste, donut economy, blockchains.
Politically, the return of the Goddess will mean a redistribution of dense overpopulated cities into local communities, which will be led by both a man and a woman.
On a personal level, this would mean taking responsibility for all actions; reduced consumption and materialism.

So, let us embrace the return of Goddess and honour her in all her manifestations with the hope that with the return of her qualities she will protect us from the unjust, greedy and ignorant; and will help us to face the challenges like climate change. Goddess bless us all ! “
SALACIA is the goddess of the sea, worshipped as the personifi cation
of its calm aspect. With the worship of Salacia the essential qualities like
calmness, magnitude and gratitude are getting developed.
We need to welcome Salacia in our realms, because she also rules over
the mineral water. If the climate situation won’t beturned around,
fresh clean water will be the fi rst problem for us to face.
FLORA is the goddess of flowersand of the season of spring –
a symbol fornature’s rejuvenation. She wakes up trees and flowers from the winter.
Let’s pray she will continue to do so…
AURORA is the goddess of dawn.
Aurora renews herself every morning. She is the archetypal
messenger of light and hope.
FORTUNA is dedicated to the goddess of luck and fortune.
Being depicted blindfolded, functioning in the darkness,
she also represents life’s capriciousness. With the critical
climate situation on a globals scale, we praise Fortuna to turn
her wheel to our favour.
SANJANA the goddess of clouds and clean air, manifests herself in
million clouds. She is that preciousstorage of fresh air in our atmosfeer,
that humans are bombarding with their exaggerated CO2 waste.
